Announcing Dao Foods’ 8th China Next-Gen Good Food Bootcamp in Rugao
On March 17th, 2023, the Rugao Future Healthy Food Venture Capital Summit and the Yangtze River Delta Next Generation Good Food Bootcamp will be held in the city of Rugao. Dao Foods International is partnering with the Rugao Municipal Government of Jiangsu Province to host the event, which will feature speeches and demonstrations that highlight advances in the field of alternative protein and food system development via showcasing of some Dao Foods portfolio companies.
Located along the north fork of the Yangtze River Delta, Rugao has a rich cultural history. It enjoys a reputation as "Jiangsu's famous historical and cultural city, the cradle of the Red Revolution in East China, and the capital of the Chinese flower and bonsai tree industry.” It has successively won the National Ecological City, National Sanitary City, China Excellent Tourism City, National Intellectual Property Strong County Project Demonstration County, and National Civilized City awards, as well as other honors.
Rugao ranks 19th among the top 100 county-level cities in the country, and it ranked 23rd among the top 100 county-level cities in China in 2022. Rugao remains at the intersection of national strategies such as the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Shanghai metropolitan area development.
The Rugao provincial-level agricultural high-tech demonstration zone, currently in the planning and construction phase, will be located about 4 kilometers south of the main urban area, with a total area of 25.14 square kilometers, including 1.5 square kilometers of core construction area. The so-called Health Food Industrial Park will focus on synthetic biotechnology, high-end functional food, longevity technology services, future health services, and other industrial structures.
Dao Foods originally founded The China Next-Gen Good Food Bootcamp series in 2019 as a way to help build China's new protein industry ecosystem. So far, 6 events have been held in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and online. This time, Dao Foods is cooperating with the Rugao Municipal Government, relying on the local traditional advantages in the field of health food as well as links to the resources of the new protein industry chain in the Yangtze River Delta. By taking advantage of these unique resources, Dao Foods can further support and accelerate the development of the new protein field and promote industrial progress.
