AuX Labs has completed development on their first strain, producing recombinant casein that can be used as an ingredient for the dairy industry to make cheese. The company has also built a new 1,000L pilot facility that's delivering at a cost that's approaching close to price-parity for commercial bovine casein at $20/kg.

Ted Jin Founder

Ted Jin is the Founder and CEO of AuX Labs, a synthetic biology that makes nature-identical food proteins. With an initial focus on casein, the company formulates animal-free cheese for dairy manufacturers with the same sensory and functional attributes as animal-versions. AuX is based out of Toronto, Canada and will begin selling ingredient products in early-2025. Prior to starting AuX, Ted held leadership roles at Procter & Gamble across various disciplines in Brand Management, Sales and Supply Chain.
