Chenfeng Lu Founder

Chenfeng graduated from China's food science-focused Jiangnan University, and later has gained more than 15 years of experience in synthetic biology and commercial fermentation products. After obtaining a PhD in food microbiology from the University of Wisconsin, he engaged in the development of new degradable plastics at Yield10 Bioscience Inc., overcoming important technical difficulties and increasing the production of bioplastic PHA by 10 times. Later, from 2010 to 2019, he worked in research and development at Cargill where he was engaged in the development of synthetic biological strains, and products involving food, materials and fuels. The research and development results helped companies increase Cargill’s net profits by millions of dollars every year.
